Sharjah Announces Park Timings for Eid Al Adha 2026 Long Holiday
Sharjah authorities have announced operating hours for public parks during the upcoming Eid Al Adha holiday period, as residents prepare for family gatherings and outdoor activities during the extended break across the UAE.
According to the announcement, most parks in Sharjah will operate on split timings from May 27 to 29.
Sharjah Park Operating Hours
Public parks across the emirate will open during two daily periods:
- Morning: 6am to 1pm
- Evening: 4pm to 12am
Meanwhile, Sharjah National Park and Al Rolla Park will operate continuously from 7.30am until 12am.
The extended evening timings are expected to accommodate increased visitor numbers during the Eid celebrations and cooler nighttime temperatures.
Long Eid Holiday Across UAE
The UAE has announced extended Eid Al Adha holidays for both public and private sector employees.
Federal government employees will receive an official break from Monday, May 25, to Friday, May 29. Combined with the weekends before and after the holiday, many employees following a Saturday-Sunday workweek could enjoy a nine-day break.
Government employees in Sharjah are expected to receive an even longer holiday period due to the emirate’s four-day workweek system.
Since Sharjah government entities observe Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as weekends, employees could benefit from a 10-day holiday stretch.
Private Sector Eid Holiday
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) confirmed that private sector employees will receive a four-day paid Eid holiday from Tuesday, May 26, to Friday, May 29.
Authorities across the UAE are expected to announce additional public facility schedules and holiday arrangements in the coming days as Eid Al Adha approaches.
