Dubai’s Top 5 Outdoor Attractions Expected to Reopen This October

As cooler evenings return to the UAE, Dubai’s outdoor season is gearing up with the reopening of some of the city’s most beloved attractions. From family-friendly wildlife adventures to world-famous water shows, residents and tourists can look forward to fresh experiences starting next month.

While some venues have already confirmed official dates, others are hinting at October reopenings following summer closures for upgrades, renovations, and seasonal maintenance.

1. Dubai Safari Park – reopening October 14

Dubai Safari Park has confirmed it will reopen for Season 7 on October 14, 2025, after closing on June 1. Home to more than 3,000 animals across 119 hectares of eco-friendly grounds powered by solar energy, the park promises an interactive experience for all ages.

Visitors can enjoy giraffe and elephant feeding sessions, live shows hosted by zoologists, and themed zones including the African Village, Asian Village, Arabian Desert Safari, Explorer Village, and Adventure Valley—all connected by a shuttle train.

2. Dubai Fountain – major upgrades underway

Closed since April 19 for large-scale renovation works, the Dubai Fountain at The Dubai Mall is widely expected to return in October.

Recent photos show water gradually refilling the basin, fuelling speculation of an imminent reopening. Upgrades include:

  • A stronger water-resistant base with waterproofing layers

  • A new insulation system for improved water retention

  • Enhanced blue tiles for a more striking spectacle

Spanning an area equivalent to 18 football fields, the fountain features robotic water jets, synchronised lighting, and choreographed music, making it one of the city’s top attractions.

3. Global Village – gearing up for its 30th season

After a record-breaking 29th season that attracted 10.5 million visitors, Global Village is preparing to launch its 30th season in October 2025, running through May 2026.

Marking two decades since its relocation to Dubailand, the milestone season will once again showcase more than 90 cultures through 3,500 outlets, 250 dining experiences, 200 rides, and over 40,000 live shows.

4. Dubai Miracle Garden – blooms expected to return in October

The Dubai Miracle Garden, which closed on June 15 after its 13th season, is expected to reopen in October. The 72,000 sqm floral wonderland features over 150 million flowers arranged in dazzling designs.

Since opening in 2013, the garden has earned three Guinness World Records, including the tallest topiary structure and the largest vertical garden, cementing its place as one of Dubai’s most photographed attractions.

5. Ripe Market – reopening October 11

Popular among families and community enthusiasts, the Ripe Market will reopen on October 11, 2025, according to its Instagram account.

Held every weekend during the cooler months, the market offers fresh local produce, artisanal goods, clothing, handmade crafts, food trucks, fitness classes, live music, horse riding, and a petting zoo. Its flagship venue at Police Academy Park remains a city favourite.
