Dubais Holiday Home market is growing significantly
The holiday home market in Dubai is significantly growing as the economy is flooded by foreign and Arab tourists that are opting for a high level of service which the emirate provides in this sector.
The idea of holiday homes in the UAE is solely focused on furnished accommodation that can be rented on daily, weekly, monthly or annual basis registered with Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM).
International platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com have contributed significantly to familiarizing customers with holiday home services for tourism or business purposes, said Dr. Ahmed Samerai, founder of leading holiday home operator Al Bahar Downtown.
He added, Dubais licensed holiday homes offer better quality and services than those in many other cities around the world. Most of the units in the emirate are located in modern buildings with swimming pools and gyms; in other cities, vacation apartments tend to be older without the features and facilities that are so widely available in Dubai.
As of now, holiday homes are facing strong competition from hotels as the hotels are reducing their rates and offering many discounted packages including free meals. Hence, holiday home providers must lower their prices for customers to get attracted.
Dr. Samerai comments that holiday homes is one of the services offered by the government of Dubai that provides a vast range of accommodation option to visitors. He said, Clear regulation and oversight are likely to boost this sectors competitiveness, transparency and safety and enhance service levels."
