‘Aksarakadalile Veliyettam’ — A New Book Inspired by the Sharjah International Book Fair Launched at SIBF 2025

A new literary work celebrating the legacy of the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) has been unveiled. Titled “Aksarakadalile Veliyettam” (“The High Tide in the Sea of Letters”), the book captures the spirit, depth, and cultural influence of one of the world’s largest book fairs.

Authored by Sreejish Sarada Sreekantan Nair, a prominent news presenter with Dubai Vartha, the book delves into the evolution and enduring impact of the Sharjah International Book Fair — written with insight that goes beyond journalistic curiosity.

The book launch took place on November 5, 2025, at 7 PM in Hall 7’s Writers’ Forum at the Sharjah Expo Centre, coinciding with the opening day of the 44th edition of SIBF.

Book Launch Ceremony

The release was officiated by Deepa Ganesh, General Manager of Dubai Vartha, who handed the first copy of the book to young singer Ravishankar.

Nissar Sayed, Chief Editor of Dubai Vartha, delivered the keynote address, highlighting the author’s deep connection to the fair and his contribution to literature and media.
