6 Must-Visit Outdoor Attractions in Dubai Before They Close for the Summer
As temperatures begin to rise in Dubai, many of the city's iconic outdoor attractions prepare for seasonal closures. If you're looking to make the most of the pleasant weather while it lasts, now is the perfect time to explore these top destinations before the summer heat sets in.
Here’s a guide to six of Dubai’s best outdoor attractions that you should visit soon—before they temporarily close for maintenance or due to the heat.
1. Dubai Fountain
Located between the Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa, the Dubai Fountain is the world’s largest choreographed fountain system. Since its debut in 2009, it has wowed spectators with water jets shooting up to 150 metres, accompanied by music and lights. While it typically operates year-round, the fountain will temporarily close for maintenance and upgrades this year. The last show is scheduled for Saturday, April 19.
2. Dubai Garden Glow
Now in its 10th season, Dubai Garden Glow offers a luminous experience with spectacular light installations, 3D artworks, and a dinosaur park. Located in Zabeel Park, this glow-in-the-dark garden is expected to close during the summer, although no official date has been confirmed.
Tickets: From AED 78.75 (includes Garden Glow and Dinosaur Park).
Timings: Daily, 5 pm to 10 pm.
Location: Zabeel Park, Gates No. 6 & 7, Area B.
3. Dubai Miracle Garden
Covering 72,000 square meters and showcasing over 150 million flowers, Dubai Miracle Garden is the world’s largest natural flower garden. It’s a colourful and fragrant experience ideal for families, couples, and photography lovers. The park is expected to close in June, though the exact date hasn’t been confirmed.
Tickets: AED 100 (adults), AED 85 (children aged 3–12), free for children under 3.
Location: Dubailand.
4. Dubai Safari Park
Home to over 3,000 animals from across the globe, Dubai Safari Park features diverse wildlife including mammals, reptiles, and birds. It’s one of the top destinations in the UAE for nature and animal lovers. Bookings are currently open until Sunday, June 1, suggesting a possible closure afterward.
Tickets: From AED 50 (adults), AED 20 (children).
Location: Al Warqa 5.
5. Global Village
A cultural extravaganza with international pavilions, market stalls, world cuisine, entertainment, and family rides, Global Village is a must-visit attraction. Its 29th season concludes on Sunday, May 11, so don’t miss the opportunity to explore it before it closes.
Tickets: From AED 25.
Timings: Daily, 4 pm to midnight.
6. Hatta Wadi Hub
For those seeking an adventurous escape from city life, Hatta Wadi Hub offers hiking, ziplining, kayaking, and mountain biking. This scenic spot in the Hatta mountains may close from May through September, according to the official advisory, so plan your trip soon.
These seasonal closures are standard practice in Dubai to ensure safety and maintenance during the extreme summer months. Make sure to check each destination’s official website for the most accurate and up-to-date closure information.
