The UAE Ministry of Sports will host the "Future of Sports Retreat" on October 22, 2024, in Dubai, marking a significant milestone in the nation’s sports landscape. Themed "A New Vision... A Better Sports Future," this inaugural event will gather ministers, government officials, and industry experts from the sports sector and related fields, alongside athletes from the UAE's national Olympic and Paralympic teams.

This retreat represents the UAE's commitment to advancing its sports sector in alignment with national development goals. H.E. Dr. Ahmad Belhoul Al Falasi, Minister of Sports, emphasized that this is a key moment for Emirati sports, stating: “Our wise leadership has elevated the role of sports in the nation’s strategic vision, reflecting its importance to the development of our youth and the enhancement of the UAE’s standing in the global sports arena.”

H.E. Al Falasi also highlighted the retreat as a critical platform for stakeholders to exchange insights and explore opportunities for collaboration between the Ministry, national sports entities, and public and private sector partners. The discussions will focus on improving governance, embedding a sports culture across society, and developing strategies to support elite athletes.

The event will feature brainstorming sessions on how to integrate sports into all segments of society and foster active lifestyles among citizens and residents. Special attention will be given to nurturing young athletes and professional development. The key themes to be discussed include:
