UAE Committee for Talent and Sports Support Partners with MST Junior Academy to Boost Youth Sports Development
Under the patronage of the Ministry of Sports, the UAE Committee for Talent and Sports Support (UAETSS) has announced a strategic partnership with MST Junior Academy to strengthen youth sports training and develop advanced training environments across the UAE.
The initiative supports the objectives of the UAE’s “Year of the Family” by promoting sports activities that encourage family participation, strengthen community cohesion, and support healthy lifestyles among children and youth.
The partnership aims to enhance cooperation between government entities and private sector sports institutions to help identify and nurture sports talent through professional training programmes and improved access to sports facilities.
As part of the agreement, UAETSS will support the expansion of MST Junior Academy by helping establish two new summer training centres in Dubai in addition to the academy’s existing facility. The collaboration will also include the provision of sports equipment and training resources designed to create a comprehensive athlete development environment aligned with international standards.
Suhail bin Butti Al Maktoum, Chairman of UAETSS, said the partnership reflects the committee’s commitment to empowering sports academies and summer programmes while supporting the role of private sector institutions in developing sports talent.
He noted that the initiative contributes to creating sustainable sports development pathways and reinforces the role of sports in strengthening family relationships and improving quality of life.
Ahmed Al Marri described the partnership as an important milestone in the academy’s growth, explaining that the academy was established to provide children with a safe and motivating environment where they can develop athletic skills from an early age.
Al Marri added that the support from UAETSS will enable the academy to reach more young athletes while continuing to encourage stronger family engagement through sports and recreational activities.
The partnership forms part of UAETSS’s broader strategy to increase sports participation among children and youth while helping develop future athletes capable of contributing to the UAE’s sporting ambitions across multiple disciplines.
