UAE Commemoration Day: A Tribute to the Nation's Martyrs
On 29 November 2024, His Excellency Ahmad bin Meshar Al Muhairi, Secretary General of the UAE Supreme Legislation Committee (SLC), issued a heartfelt statement on the occasion of UAE Commemoration Day, paying tribute to the brave martyrs who made the ultimate sacrifice for the homeland.
“On this solemn occasion, we express our profound reverence for the valiant martyrs of the UAE and remember their heroic sacrifices,” H.E. Al Muhairi said. “Their memory is eternally etched in the hearts of the nation, serving as an enduring beacon of inspiration that lights our path to glory and honour.”
Commemoration Day serves as a poignant reminder of the deep-rooted national values that the UAE holds dear. It provides an opportunity to reflect on the sacrifices made by those who gave their lives for the nation’s security and prosperity. H.E. Al Muhairi emphasized the importance of instilling these values in future generations, ensuring they remain aware of the martyrs' contributions in safeguarding the nation’s resilience and strength.
“We pray to Almighty Allah to grant our martyrs His infinite mercy and eternal peace, and to elevate them to the highest ranks in Paradise,” he continued. “We also extend our heartfelt support to their families, praying for Allah’s solace and patience upon them.”
In his statement, H.E. Al Muhairi renewed the pledge of loyalty to the UAE’s wise leadership and reaffirmed the nation’s commitment to protecting its achievements. “The sacrifices of our noble martyrs will forever guide us, strengthening our resolve to contribute to the continued progress and glory of our beloved homeland,” he concluded.
