UAE Accountability Authority Partners with Core42 to Migrate Cloud Systems to Microsoft Azure

The UAE Accountability Authority (UAEAA) has announced a strategic partnership with Core42, a G42 company specializing in sovereign cloud and AI infrastructure, to migrate its cloud computing systems to Microsoft Azure. The agreement was signed during GITEX GLOBAL 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, further advancing the UAEAA's digital transformation initiatives.

This collaboration with Core42 enables UAEAA to enhance its digital infrastructure for auditing and governance processes, incorporating advanced technologies such as AI to strengthen cybersecurity and ensure top-tier data protection. The migration to Microsoft Azure, known for its flexibility and robust security features, marks a critical step in modernizing the UAEAA’s operations.

Haifa Al Shimmari, Head of Corporate Support Sector at UAEAA, emphasized the impact of the agreement, stating, “This partnership will boost cybersecurity, improve auditing accuracy, and equip our national talent with cutting-edge tools and AI capabilities.”

Talal Al Kaissi, EVP – Chief Partnerships Officer at Core42, praised the collaboration as a vital move toward advancing the UAE’s technological vision, adding, “This partnership enhances the UAEAA’s digital capabilities while demonstrating our commitment to secure and scalable cloud solutions for public institutions.”

As part of the agreement, Core42 will support UAEAA’s team in achieving Microsoft Azure certification, further enhancing the Authority’s skills in cloud technology and AI integration.

At GITEX GLOBAL 2024, UAEAA is showcasing its smart tools for promoting integrity and transparency within federal government bodies. These tools are expected to bolster confidence in the UAE’s financial and economic systems, positioning the UAE as a global leader in auditing and accountability.
