SolitAir Partners with Marsh McLennan to Strengthen Aviation Risk Management

SolitAir, the UAE’s first and only dedicated cargo airline offering daily express scheduled services between Dubai and major trade corridors across the Global South, has announced a strategic partnership with Marsh McLennan, the world’s leading insurance broker and aviation risk management firm.

Under the agreement, Marsh will deliver comprehensive insurance coverage for SolitAir’s expanding fleet of Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters, as well as the airline’s operational and logistical assets. This partnership is aimed at bolstering SolitAir’s risk resilience as the company scales its cargo network and enhances logistics capabilities across Africa, the GCC, the Indian Subcontinent, and the Stan countries.

Hamdi Osman, Founder & CEO of SolitAir, remarked:

“This collaboration marks a pivotal step in our mission to transform regional air cargo logistics. Marsh’s industry-leading expertise in aviation risk and insurance aligns perfectly with our tech-driven, future-forward vision. With Marsh’s support, we can navigate complexities in air cargo operations with greater assurance, reinforcing our commitment to service excellence and operational resilience.”

David George, Deputy Chairman, Aviation at Marsh Specialty, added:

“We are proud to support SolitAir—an ambitious and forward-thinking cargo and express delivery platform in the Gulf. With a talented team and a solid business model, SolitAir is poised for significant success.”

Currently, SolitAir operates a fleet of four Boeing 737-800 BCF freighters from its 220,000 sq ft advanced logistics hub at DWC (Dubai World Central). The airline plans to add three more aircraft by August 2025, to expand to 20 aircraft by 2027. In line with global sustainability trends, SolitAir is also preparing to integrate electric aircraft into its operations by the end of the decade.

The airline's fleet is purpose-built to transport specialised cargo, including pharmaceuticals, e-commerce shipments, and hazardous materials, with a strong emphasis on efficiency, reliability, and temperature-controlled logistics.

This partnership with Marsh McLennan not only fortifies SolitAir’s risk management strategy but also paves the way for sustainable and scalable growth, positioning the airline as a key enabler of trade and connectivity across emerging markets.
