SLC Secretary General highlights youth empowerment on International Youth Day
Dr. Ahmad Saeed bin Meshar, Secretary General of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai (SLC), has highlighted the importance of empowering young people and recognising their role in shaping the future on the occasion of International Youth Day.
In a statement marking the occasion, Dr. bin Meshar praised the creativity, ambition and potential of young people, noting their contributions to their communities and their role in advancing sustainable development and national progress.
He emphasised the importance of providing youth with the knowledge, skills and opportunities needed to participate meaningfully across different sectors.
UAE places youth at the centre of national development
Dr. bin Meshar said the UAE has placed youth empowerment at the heart of its national vision for decades, supported by the country's leadership and its focus on preparing young people to contribute to the nation's development.
He pointed to the growing presence of Emirati youth in leadership and decision-making positions across various sectors as an example of the country's commitment to developing its next generation of leaders.
Young Emiratis are also making contributions to national goals across diverse fields, reflecting the importance of youth participation in the UAE's long-term development plans.
SLC reaffirms support for young people
The Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai extended its congratulations and appreciation to young people in the UAE and around the world.
