TCA Abu Dhabi Board of Directors announced consultation of His Excellency Saif Saeed Ghobash as Director General of the Authority.

In addition to his vast experience in spheres of strategic, financial investment and media affairs, Saif Saeed Ghobash held a number of senior executive positions and has been a member of the governing bodies of key government entities.

Ghobash was a Director in the Office of Strategic Affairs at the Crown Prince Court. He also served as acting Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Abu Dhabi Media Company.

The Director General gained a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and an Executive MBA from IMD.

Al Mubarak stated, "Ghobash's appointment is an outcome of the board's confidence in his capability to further drive performance in line with the vision and strategy of the Authority, while working carefully with our partners in both government and private sectors, towards the advancement of the infrastructure that supports the sector as well as the delivery of key tourism projects.

TCA Abu Dhabi manages the emirate's tourist sector and promotes it internationally through a wide range of activities and major events, targeted at drawing in both culturally sensitive visitors and enhanced investment. The Authority likewise concentrates on the promotion and conservation of Abu Dhabi's cultural heritage, paying unique attention to its historical and archaeological sites.

The Authority is also responsible for managing the development of new landmark museums in Abu Dhabi's Saadiyat Island Cultural District, consisting of the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and Guggenheim Abu Dhabi. It is likewise dedicated to supporting a continuous program of events and intellectual and artistic activities targeted at nurturing a cultural environment that will be enhancing for locals and visitors alike.
