Mohammed bin Rashid Attends Signing of Agreements for Endowment Buildings Supporting Fathers’ Endowment Campaign
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the signing of agreements between the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) and leading developers Imtiaz Developments, SAMANA Developers, and Buimerc Corporation Ltd.
Under the agreements, each developer will construct an endowment building within MBRGI’s education complex in Dubai Academic City in support of the Fathers’ Endowment campaign, an initiative launched by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to provide sustainable healthcare for those in need.
Commitment to Philanthropy and Sustainable Giving
Launched during Ramadan, the Fathers’ Endowment campaign honors fathers in the UAE by establishing a long-term fund to support healthcare initiatives for underprivileged individuals.
His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Secretary General of MBRGI, signed agreements with:
- Masih Imtiaz, CEO of Imtiaz Developments (AED 50 million endowment)
- Imran Farooq, CEO of SAMANA Developers (AED 40 million endowment)
- Siddharth Balachandran, Executive Chairman and CEO of Buimerc Corporation Ltd. (AED 20 million endowment)
Revenues generated from these buildings will fund hospitals, provide medical equipment and medications, and expand healthcare capacity, contributing to sustainable humanitarian efforts.
Sheikh Mohammed’s Vision for Sustainable Giving
His Excellency Mohammad Al Gergawi highlighted that the Fathers’ Endowment campaign aligns with HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision of philanthropy as a tool for positive change. He noted that Ramadan campaigns consistently reinforce the UAE’s global leadership in humanitarian efforts.
“The agreements with Imtiaz Developments, SAMANA Developers, and Buimerc Ltd. reflect the generosity of UAE philanthropists, demonstrating the deeply ingrained culture of giving and social solidarity,” Al Gergawi said.
The initiative further strengthens the UAE’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity, promoting sustainable endowments and encouraging community participation in supporting healthcare access for the less fortunate.
