Ministry of Economy Unveils National Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy 2031
17 Initiatives Introduced to Strengthen UAE’s Role as a Global Talent Hub
The UAE Ministry of Economy has launched the National Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy 2031 during the ‘Future of Jobs’ workshop, held in collaboration with Integra Seven, a prominent UAE-based public policy research and consulting firm. The event brought together representatives from 14 key economic entities and companies to discuss initiatives aimed at attracting and retaining top talent in the country.
The workshop, organized as part of UAE Innovation Month 2025, highlighted the nation's commitment to building a knowledge-based economy and reinforcing its position as a global innovation leader. During the session, 17 groundbreaking projects and initiatives were presented, each designed to enhance the UAE’s ability to attract and retain highly skilled individuals.
Commitment to Innovation and Growth
His Excellency Juma Mohammed Al Kait, Assistant Undersecretary for International Trade Affairs at the Ministry of Economy, emphasized that the UAE remains steadfast in its vision to become the world’s top destination for talent and innovators. He noted that strategic policies and initiatives play a crucial role in creating an environment conducive to business growth, innovation, and sustainable economic development.
The National Talent Attraction and Retention Strategy 2024-2027, launched during the workshop, aims to foster a dynamic, competitive, and innovation-driven ecosystem. The initiatives introduced align with the UAE’s broader goals of enhancing economic diversification, strengthening entrepreneurship, and increasing foreign investment.
Collaboration Between Public and Private Sectors
The workshop also served as a platform for leading companies and industry experts to exchange insights and discuss strategies for attracting global talent. Representatives from Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Company (Du), Emirates Airlines, DHL, C3 - Companies for Good, Cigna Healthcare, Ahoy Technology, Tarjama, Al Tamimi & Company, First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB), Infosys, and GrubTech participated in the event, bringing their expertise to the discussions.
Natalia Sycheva, Managing Director of Integra Seven, highlighted the importance of private-public collaboration in addressing workforce challenges. She stated, "This workshop was instrumental in identifying key challenges and co-creating innovative solutions, fostering dialogue between industry leaders and policymakers."
Strengthening the UAE’s Position as a Global Talent Hub
This initiative aligns with the UAE’s ongoing efforts to engage private and public sector stakeholders in shaping and implementing national strategies. By actively involving key industry players, the Ministry of Economy aims to bolster the country’s workforce capabilities and enhance its competitiveness in the global market.
