Middle East's Favorite Colors for Next-Generation Ford Ranger and Everest Revealed

Ford has evolved significantly from the days when Henry Ford famously offered customers the Model T in any color they wanted, as long as it was black. Today, Ford offers an extensive palette of over 20 colors for the next-generation Ford Ranger and Everest across its International Market Group (IMG), including regions like Australia, New Zealand, ASEAN, North and South Africa, and the Middle East.

With such a diverse array of color options, one might assume that car buyers would be more adventurous in their selections. Krista Lindegger, Color and Materials Designer at Ford Australia, emphasizes, “Color is what adds personality and enhances the surface design.”

Regional Preferences

In the UAE and Kuwait, Meteor Grey emerged as the top-selling color for the Ford Everest. Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, customers showed a strong preference for the Ford Ranger in Carbonised Grey.

Grey Rangers Dominate

Sales data from Ford Middle East reveal that nearly 27% of all Rangers sold in the last six months were painted in either Carbonised Grey or Metallic Grey. In Saudi Arabia, Carbonised Grey was the favorite, while in the UAE, Absolute Black was the most popular, with Conquer Grey coming in second. Kuwait saw equal sales for both Grey shades.

Other popular colors for the Ranger included Moondust Silver (13.5%), driven by demand in Saudi Arabia, Agate Black Metallic (12.7%), which was the top choice in Kuwait, and Frozen White (11.9%).

Everest's Dark Side

For the Ford Everest, darker hues dominated consumer preferences. Absolute Black accounted for 25.2% of sales, followed by Meteor Grey (22.5%) and Aluminium Metallic (17.7%). The only light shade to make the top five was Snow Flake White Pearl at 17.2%, with Equinox Bronze comprising 9.2% of Everest sales in the Middle East.

Absolute Black was particularly favored among Everest buyers in the UAE and Saudi Arabia, while in Kuwait, Meteor Grey was the most popular.

Expert Insight

Pedro Simoes, Marketing and Commercial Vehicle Director at Ford Middle East, commented on the findings: “It’s interesting to see how buyer preferences vary across these two distinctive nameplates. We’ve seen a strong preference for Absolute Black Everests, while Metallic Silver/Grey hues are exceedingly popular with Ranger drivers. Our customers spend a lot of time in these vehicles, and they are looking for diversity – choices of color that represent their unique lifestyle.”
