Lincoln Unveils All-New Nautilus: A Blend of Nature and Technology for a Luxurious Third Space
Lincoln’s Global Design Chief, Kemal Curic, has revealed the all-new Lincoln Nautilus, a mid-size luxury SUV that seamlessly blends nature and technology to create a unique mobile sanctuary. Inspired by the architectural marvels of Abu Dhabi's Louvre Museum, the Nautilus offers an unprecedented immersive experience with its innovative interior and cutting-edge digital features.
Interior Design Inspired by Architecture
The all-new Nautilus boasts a reimagined interior designed to maximize open space and provide a serene environment for passengers. Drawing inspiration from the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi and Zaha Hadid’s architectural designs, the interior exudes openness and calmness, enhanced by strategic lighting that creates an inviting atmosphere.
Advanced Digital Experience
At the heart of the Nautilus’ interior is a largest-in-class 48-inch panoramic display, integrated with a flowing, horizontal instrument panel that offers new levels of personalization. This innovative feature embodies Lincoln’s commitment to human-centric technology and design.
Sensory Experience
Lincoln has taken inspiration from nature to create a sensory-rich cabin experience. The Nautilus features ambient lighting, crystal-inspired details, and a flat-top steering wheel that enhances the sense of openness. A unique Lincoln Embrace sequence starts from the center display and extends to the front and rear door panels.
In a first for the automotive industry, the Nautilus offers a range of digital scents housed in the center armrest. Three scent cartridges – Mystic Forest, Ozonic Azure, and Violet Cashmere – provide a variety of aromas, each paired with specific colors and on-screen environments to create different moods and experiences.
Exterior Design
The Nautilus’ dynamic exterior features new LED headlamps, H2 Pixel Headlamps, and LED taillamps with animation. The signature lighting elements, combined with a handcrafted grille, represent Lincoln’s vision for future lighting design. The new model is available in four signature exterior body colors and introduces three new interior color themes: Black Onyx and Medium Light Space Gray, Smoked Truffle, and Black Onyx and Allura Blue.
Personalization Options
The available Jet Appearance Package offers a sleeker, more dynamic look with two-tone paint, high gloss-black 22-inch wheels, and anodized black exterior elements. The exclusive Black Onyx Sport interior features a Copper Code aluminum applique and Dusted Copper accent stitching. For ultimate luxury, the Nautilus also offers a new Lincoln Presidential theme – Redwood, in addition to the popular Chalet theme.
Future Vision
Curic emphasized the future of Lincoln’s design philosophy: “We expect to see even greater synergy between physical and digital experiences, which will continue merging into one holistic environment – an environment much more curated and bespoke to individual needs.”
