IDEMIA Public Security and Tahakom Strengthen Partnership to Boost Local Sourcing and Road Safety Innovation in Saudi Arabia
IDEMIA Public Security, a global leader in biometric-based security solutions, and Tahakom, the Saudi Technology and Security Comprehensive Control Company, have expanded their strategic partnership with a new agreement focused on local sourcing, artificial intelligence (AI), and research and development (R&D). This collaboration aims to enhance road safety in Saudi Arabia while aligning with Saudi Vision 2030, which prioritizes improving traffic safety and strengthening local industries.
Strengthening Local Sourcing and Innovation
Under this agreement, IDEMIA and Tahakom will develop and implement local initiatives that emphasize sourcing, assembling, and servicing products within the Kingdom. The partnership will focus on three key areas:
- Assembly & Local Sourcing: IDEMIA will source components and services from Saudi suppliers and establish IDEMIA Road Safety Limited – Saudi Arabia, a specialized entity for assembling road safety products. This move will reinforce local industry engagement and boost economic growth.
- AI and R&D Collaboration: IDEMIA’s R&D team will work closely with Tahakom’s AI experts to conduct workshops throughout the year, exploring advancements in AI and road safety technologies.
- Knowledge Transfer & Training: The partnership will introduce training programs and expert-led sessions on IDEMIA’s cutting-edge technologies, offering learning opportunities to Saudi citizens and fostering local expertise in security and road safety.
Commitment to Safer Roads and Sustainable Growth
Mazen Hamadallah, SVP of Road Safety at IDEMIA Public Security, emphasized the importance of the partnership, stating:
"We are thrilled to expand our partnership with Tahakom and support their commitment to local sourcing in Saudi Arabia. Together, we continue to develop and implement initiatives that will drive maximum benefit and impact on our communities while enhancing operational efficiency and sustainability. This agreement reflects our shared dedication to ensuring safer roads in the Kingdom and leveraging local expertise in line with Saudi Vision 2030."
This initiative not only strengthens Saudi Arabia’s road safety infrastructure but also contributes to the country’s economic diversification efforts by promoting local content, workforce development, and knowledge exchange. As IDEMIA and Tahakom move forward with this partnership, they will explore new opportunities for expansion and innovation in the future.
