HR Leaders Explore AI-Powered Workforce Transformation at SAP HR Connect Riyadh

SAP’s HR Connect event in Riyadh spotlighted the transformative role of HR leaders in adopting AI and driving sustainable workforce strategies. The event, which brought together HR leaders from the Middle East, Africa, and Pakistan, emphasized the need for secure and responsible integration of AI to align with organizational objectives.

Leveraging AI for HR Transformation
HR experts discussed how AI technologies such as machine learning, natural language processing, and predictive analytics are revolutionizing HR functions. These innovations streamline talent acquisition, enhance employee performance analysis, and provide responsive, personalized HR support.

"AI technologies empower HR professionals to make smarter workforce decisions," said Mohammed AlRomaizan, Vice President, SAP KSA. SAP’s HR portfolio, including SAP SuccessFactors, enables organizations to align HR strategies with business objectives through data-driven insights and tools like AI-enabled CV screening and predictive analytics.

Data Security and Compliance
SAP executives outlined measures to ensure that AI-infused, cloud-based solutions comply with data sovereignty regulations in the Kingdom. SAP’s AI copilot, Joule, processes employee data securely without storage or misuse of sensitive information. This approach aligns with the Kingdom’s stringent data protection policies.

Natali Bezan Stajner, Director of SAP SuccessFactors MEA North, highlighted, “Today’s AI advancements empower organizations with a unified view of their workforce, enabling impactful, data-driven decisions while ensuring employees are engaged and equipped for career growth.”

Showcasing Innovations
The event unveiled several AI-driven advancements in SAP’s SuccessFactors HCM suite:

  • Talent Intelligence Hub: Centralized skills data management for better talent and succession planning.
  • Career and Talent Development Solution: AI-guided upskilling recommendations and career path exploration.
  • Generative AI Capabilities: Tools for onboarding, payroll management, and AI-assisted employee reviews.

By mid-2025, Joule will offer personalized payroll support, further enhancing employee experience.

Recognizing Regional Excellence
SAP HR Connect honored organizations across the Middle East and Africa for HR transformation and innovation. Notable winners include Saudi Arabia's Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, Saudi Electricity Company, Ministry of Culture, and NEOM, among others. Bahrain’s Electricity and Water Authority and Egypt’s Wadi Degla also received accolades for their pioneering HR strategies.

The event underscored the growing importance of AI in reshaping HR practices, highlighting the region's commitment to leveraging advanced technologies to drive workforce transformation.
