The Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation for Medical and Educational Sciences is expanding its partnership with the Islamic World Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) to further support education and academic excellence across Islamic nations.

During a recent meeting, Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi, Secretary-General and Executive Director of the Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation, welcomed H.E. Dr. Ahmed Said Ould Bah, Adviser to the Director-General for Partnerships and International Cooperation at ICESCO. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, enhancing educational initiatives, and advancing mechanisms to promote outstanding educational practices.

Dr. Khalifa Al Suwaidi reaffirmed the foundation’s commitment to boosting the UAE’s role in international education initiatives. He highlighted the collaboration with ICESCO, a key institution in the Islamic world dedicated to education, science, and culture, as crucial for fostering sustainable human development, improving education quality, and empowering teachers.

One of the major aspects of this partnership is the Hamdan-ICESCO Prize, which supports educational infrastructure in Islamic countries. The foundation is also dedicated to promoting Arabic language education for non-native speakers through its "Mishkat" project.

Dr. Ahmed Said Ould Bah commended the foundation’s leadership in advancing educational excellence, recognizing its impactful projects in partnership with global and regional institutions. He emphasized ICESCO’s commitment—under the leadership of Director-General H.E. Dr. Salim Bin Mohammed AlMalik—to expanding collaboration with the foundation. Dr. Ahmed highlighted that this strategic partnership serves as a model for shaping education policies and fostering sustainable educational development.

This longstanding partnership between Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation and ICESCO has resulted in numerous educational programs aimed at improving teacher empowerment, nurturing gifted students, and advancing education policies that support knowledge-based and innovation-driven societies. Both entities are committed to launching further innovative projects to elevate education quality across the Islamic world.
