GPCA Announces Winners of the 5 th Supply Chain Excellence Awards

The Awards took place in a star-studded award ceremony during the 15 th GPCA Supply Chain Conference on 15 May 2024 at the Address Sky View Hotel, Dubai, UAE

The Gulf Petrochemicals and Chemicals Association (GPCA) proudly revealed the recipients of the 5th GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards during a prestigious ceremony held at the Address Sky View Hotel in Dubai, UAE. The event, hosted during the 15th GPCA Supply Chain Conference, showcased outstanding achievements in the chemical industry across the Arabian Gulf region.

With the resounding success of the 4th edition, the GPCA Supply Chain Excellence Awards returned for its 5th iteration, recognizing excellence across four key categories. The event received an impressive total of 34 submissions from 22 companies across the GCC, reflecting a strong commitment to innovation and sustainability within the industry.

A distinguished panel of judges, composed of leading industry experts, meticulously evaluated submissions in categories including Supply Chain Innovation, Best Logistics Service Provider (LSP) of the Year, Excellence in Sustainability, and Women in Supply Chain.

The winners in each category were honored with a trophy of recognition and a certificate during the award ceremony, highlighting their outstanding contributions to supply chain excellence in the region.

In the Supply Chain Innovation category, TASNEE emerged victorious for their innovative Procurement function's Robotic Process Automation, which significantly enhanced operational efficiency and fostered supplier diversity. Unilever was recognized as the runner-up for their Smart Batch Execution System (SBES) in their Dubai Personal Care products production factory.

PSA BDP clinched the title of Best Logistics Service Provider (LSP) of the Year, demonstrating agility, excellence, and efficiency in service delivery. DP World secured second place for their exceptional service and strategic implementation of robust processes.

QAFCO was honored with the Excellence in Sustainability Award for their Environmental Management System, ensuring minimized environmental impact in fertilizer production. TruKKer was acknowledged as the runner-up for their backhaul optimization project.

In the Women in Supply Chain category, Fatma Al Kaabi from OQ was celebrated for implementing innovative supply chain strategies, while Maram Al-Dossary from SABIC was recognized for her effective utilization of AI tools.

Dr. Abdulwahab Al-Sadoun, Secretary General of GPCA, commended all winners and finalists for their ingenuity and dedication to advancing supply chain excellence in the GCC. He praised the efforts of all nominees and expressed anticipation for future editions of the awards, underscoring the continued pursuit of supply chain optimization and improvement across the Arabian Gulf region.
