Family Development Foundation Enhances Media Skills through ‘Future Media Personality’ Initiative
The Family Development Foundation (FDF) has launched a comprehensive training program under its ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative, reaching regions across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Al Dhafra. This initiative aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to nurturing skilled media professionals by integrating young talents into society and leveraging their capabilities for personal growth and community advancement.
In Al Ain, the Foundation hosted a two-day event featuring a variety of societal and media-related programs, engaging 30 children through the ‘Future Media Personality’ initiative. A key highlight was the ‘Quality of Digital Life’ awareness program, which emphasized the importance of efficient time management, ethical values in the digital realm, online safety, and skills to enhance digital life quality.
Additionally, the ‘Let’s Read Together’ program was presented by initiative members, aiming to instill a love for reading among participants. This program focused on nurturing strong reading skills, preserving the Arabic language among children, and showcasing the significant impact of reading on individuals and society. It also encouraged storytelling and converting stories into theatrical performances created by the young participants.
Fatima Rashed Al Dhanhani, a newspaper editor at FDF and initiative facilitator, conducted several media courses and workshops designed to improve personal skills in presentation, casting, and acting. The ‘Appearance and Influence, Scriptwriting, and Theatrical Performance’ workshop trained participants to convert stories or novels into compelling scenes that raise social awareness.
She stated, “The key objective of the initiative is to cultivate skills in managing self-media. This year’s event focuses on boosting self-confidence, honing influential and persuasive skills, teaching basic scriptwriting techniques, and developing theatrical scriptwriting skills. Additionally, it highlighted the concept of musical or theatrical presentation, the influence of musical lyrics on performances, and the relevance of sound in theatrical presentations. The programs also focused on the art of acting and its practical applications.”
