European Delegations Explore Digital Innovation Partnerships with Dubai Internet City

Tech Hub Strengthens Global Collaborations to Drive Digital Transformation

Dubai Internet City, the region’s leading technology hub and a key enabler of artificial intelligence (AI) advancements, hosted high-level meetings with European dignitaries and senior officials to enhance global digital partnerships. These engagements reinforce Dubai Internet City's role in connecting international tech businesses and talent, aligning with Dubai’s vision for fostering innovation.

The meetings, held alongside Step Dubai, a premier tech event organized in strategic partnership with Dubai Internet City, welcomed delegations from Russia, Luxembourg, Poland, and Turkey. Discussions focused on advancing digital development, fostering entrepreneurship, and accelerating innovation-led economic growth.

Strengthening Global Digital Collaborations

A Russian delegation led by Gleb Nikitin, Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, along with Alexander Sinelobov, Minister of Digital Development, engaged in talks on driving impactful technological innovation. Meanwhile, Luxembourg’s Ambassador, His Excellency Robert Lauer, explored strategies for digital transformation and sustainable tech-driven growth.

Building on a 2023 agreement signed at GITEX Global, Dubai Internet City also hosted a delegation of Polish start-ups and innovators, led by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH). This initiative aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and entrepreneurial collaboration between the two nations.

Additionally, a Turkish delegation, led by Onur Saylan, Consul General of the Republic of Türkiye in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, explored mutual growth opportunities and strategic technology partnerships.

A Thriving Digital Economy

During Step Dubai, Dubai Internet City unveiled its AED 100 billion contribution to Dubai’s GDP over the past 15 years, as detailed in a newly released Impact Assessment Report prepared in collaboration with Accenture. The report highlights that Dubai Internet City generates 65% of Dubai’s technology sector GDP and is home to 4,000 businesses, including multinational giants, Fortune 500 companies, and start-ups, collectively employing over 31,000 professionals.

Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City, emphasized the district’s role in driving global innovation:

By welcoming dignitaries, business leaders, and start-up talent, we reaffirm our commitment to facilitating crucial dialogues that shape the future of technology and entrepreneurship.”
