Etihad Credit Insurance (ECI), the UAE’s Federal export credit company, marked Emirati Women’s Day with a special event themed ‘Empowering Women to Shape the Future.’ The event provided a vibrant platform to celebrate the contributions of Emirati women in international trade and investment, highlighting their vital role in shaping the UAE’s economic landscape.

The event featured a keynote session moderated by H.E. Raja Al Mazrouei, CEO of ECI, with guest speaker Shamsa Al Falasi, CEO of Citibank N.A., UAE Onshore. The discussion focused on Shamsa Al Falasi’s distinguished career in international trade, her achievements, and the challenges she has faced in a traditionally male-dominated industry.

Shamsa Al Falasi emphasized the importance of enhancing women's roles in international trade, stating, "Empowering women in this sector is crucial for driving economic, social, and cultural sustainability.
