Global fragrance and flavor powerhouse IFF International (NYSE: IFF) has unveiled its new Creative Fragrance Center and Perfumery Studio at Dubai Science Park, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to the Middle East’s fast-growing fragrance market.

Spanning 2,000 square meters, the cutting-edge facility is designed to foster creativity, accelerate product innovation, and strengthen client collaboration in the region, which is projected to exceed $7 billion in market value by 2034. The center is equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and embodies artistic and cultural inspirations native to the region, including a traditional Arabic Majlis, a perfumery training academy, and a semi-industrial production robot to speed up fragrance delivery.

Speaking on the occasion, Eric Freiwald, Global CEO of IFF, emphasized the strategic importance of the Middle East, stating:

"This new center enhances our ability to serve a diverse and evolving consumer base by creating pioneering solutions that resonate with regional luxury tastes. Dubai is the ideal base for us to drive our next phase of growth and innovation in perfumery."

Ana Paula Mendonça, Head of Fragrance at IFF International, noted that the facility supports the full spectrum of fragrance categories—from fine perfumes to household and personal care products, and features advanced formulation tools to ensure excellence in quality, performance, and customer satisfaction.

Sabria Mufleh, Head of Fine Fragrances at IFF, described the Perfumery Studio as an extension of IFF’s iconic centers in Grasse and Shanghai, offering a space where local and global perfumers collaborate with leading brands to create fragrances that resonate across borders.

Marwan Abdulaziz Janahi, Senior Vice President of TECOM Group – Dubai Science Park, highlighted the strategic alignment with Dubai’s R&D Program and Economic Agenda D33, affirming that innovation-led facilities like IFF’s contribute significantly to the city’s global competitiveness and scientific advancement.

IFF has operated in Dubai for over 15 years, contributing to the regional and global success of several iconic brands. The Dubai facility also delivers pioneering solutions in taste, food ingredients, and biosciences, underscoring IFF’s multifaceted impact across sectors.
