MBRF to Showcase Innovative Knowledge Initiatives at Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2025
The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation (MBRF) has confirmed its participation in the 34th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair (ADIBF 2025), taking place from April 26 to May 5, 2025, at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). As one of the region’s foremost knowledge institutions, MBRF will present a comprehensive range of knowledge-focused programs, reading initiatives, and cultural activities that reflect its mission to foster intellectual development across the Arab world and beyond.
MBRF’s presence at ADIBF 2025 aims to reinforce its role in shaping the knowledge landscape by connecting with audiences and engaging with key players in the publishing and literary sectors. The Foundation will use this opportunity to highlight its flagship programs, promote a strong culture of reading, and establish strategic partnerships that support its long-term vision.
His Excellency Jamal bin Huwaireb, CEO of MBRF, said:
“Our participation in ADIBF aligns with our commitment to positioning Dubai and the UAE as global leaders in knowledge and intellectual production. Through this platform, we aim to enrich public discourse, encourage innovation, and inspire future generations with impactful knowledge-driven initiatives. The Book Fair also enables us to build meaningful collaborations and expand the reach of our programs regionally and internationally.”
During the event, MBRF will spotlight key initiatives such as the Knowledge Lounge, the Digital Knowledge Hub, the Dubai International Program for Writing (DIPW), and the Bil Arabi initiative. These will be presented through interactive workshops, discussion panels, and knowledge-sharing sessions involving notable authors, thought leaders, and creatives.
Additionally, the Foundation will host sessions under the KnowTalks initiative, organized in collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), to explore emerging global knowledge trends and insights. These dialogues aim to connect intellectuals and experts across disciplines, further reinforcing the UAE’s commitment to thought leadership and global knowledge exchange.
MBRF’s participation comes as part of a broader strategy to enhance the societal knowledge infrastructure, promote reading and writing, support youth and creators, and encourage innovation in digital publishing. Last year’s edition of ADIBF welcomed over 1,350 publishers from 90 countries, including 145 first-time exhibitors and 12 new participating nations. The fair featured more than 2,000 events and attracted a prominent lineup of authors, philosophers, and cultural influencers.
As MBRF returns to this major literary gathering, it continues to strengthen its presence in regional and international forums, affirming its central role in shaping a prosperous, knowledge-based future for the UAE and the Arab world.
