ENOCs National Development Programme Emirati employees graduate from Class of 2016

As part of its commitment to human capital advancement, Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) graduated 77 staff members from the business's National Development Programme (NDP), a training initiative for Emirati staff members in the United Arab Emirates.

At a ceremony held at Palazzo Versace Hotel Dubai, H.E. Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, H.E. Afraa Al Basti, Executive Director of Dubai Foundation for Women and Children and Member of the Federal National Council, and members of the Board of Directors presented certifications to NDP's Class of 2016.

"With human capital development taking centre-stage in the UAE's Vision 2021, it is important that we, as a federal government entity, help construct the workforce of the future," stated Al Falasi. "Our industries require strong technical and engineering skill and know-how to guarantee international competitiveness and sustainability. We are dedicated to investing in bring in, growing and retaining the skill that will not just drive our company forward, but help build our nation as a whole.".

The programme consists of five different work streams-- Tatweer a proficiency based fundamental ability building program targeted at high school graduates or less with minimal experience. Imtiaz is ENOC's Leadership Development Programme to develop and take advantage of leadership potential and capability through internationally renowned organizations, as well as executive training.

Incorporating both theoretical learning and useful experience, the National Development Programme consists of site visits and secondments to ENOC's jobs and joint ventures like DUGAS, Emirates Gas (EMGAS), Horizon Terminals Limited and ENOC's refinery. This element has been added to the curriculum to supply a thorough understanding of the technical elements of ENOC, in addition to sales and operations activity at the company's service station.

Jalal Alkhaled, Director of Group HR at ENOC explained, "This program was created to provide our staff members with a 360 degree view of our business, and to encourage a total understanding of real-world circumstances. It is important to have programs that are tailored for the requirements and skillset of each level. As His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, stated The development of human capital is the global currency of 21st century economies.

Because 2010 ENOC has graduated more 150 employees as part of NDP and is continuously examining and upgrading its programmes to fit the continuous requirements of the staff members and the business.
