Eid Sacrifice - Udhiyah service has been added to the DubaiNow Application

Dubai Digital Authority partnering with the Dar Al Ber Society, has declared the launch of its Eid Sacrifice Udhiyah service, a new feature incorporated within its DubaiNow application a comprehensive and integrated app that has been developed to deliver Dubai government and private sector city services in an easily accessible and straightforward manner.

Introduced within the categories of both Islam and Donations and in alignment with the forthcoming Eid al-Adha, the Eid Sacrifice Udhiyah service focuses on facilitating charitable contribution at this holy time of year. It lets users of the DubaiNow application to request and distribute their Eid al-Adha sacrifice (Udhiyah) and pay for it through simple and easy steps, whether they are inside or outside the UAE. It also allows users to request a portion of the udhiyah, all the while adhering to the current safety and preventative measures being taken by the government.

H.E Wesam Lootah, CEO of the Smart Dubai Government Establishment, said that the new service has been designed to meet peoples needs and keeps pace with their aspirations within the unified smart application of DubaiNow.

He said The DubaiNow application is continuously expanding in all fields to become the unified and comprehensive portal for government services and transactions in Dubai, providing quick and easy solutions for all categories of customers in line with their needs and aspirations. The DubaiNow application provides the Eid Sacrifice Udhiyah service within a safe and reliable payment procedure that saves time and effort for users and provides them with an innovative experience to undertake charitable contribution easily and smoothly through their smart devices. This eliminates the need for them to physically visit charity centres, thereby maintaining safety and security through social distancing,.

His Excellency added In light of its comprehensive list of services and ongoing expansion, with the Eid Sacrifice - Udhiyah service its latest addition, the DubaiNow application has become an essential part of people's lives in Dubai. The Dubai Digital Authority will continue to update the application in cooperation with our strategic partners from the government and private sectors in the Emirate of Dubai, which will push us forward in our process of completing a one hundred percent digital transformation by December 12, 2021. This will, in turn, achieve the objectives of the Dubai Paperless Strategy, enhance the intelligence of our city, and increase the levels of happiness of residents,.

His Excellency also stated that Dubais digital transformation involves all aspects of life in the city, which includes humanitarian work, saying: "Our collaboration with charitable institutions has enabled us to provide services through the DubaiNow application, the most recent of which was our partnership with the Dar Al Ber Society to provide the Eid Sacrifice Udhiyah service. Our door is always open for cooperation with all charities to transform their services into ones that are digital and as such can be conducted easily and safely, in line with the vision of our wise leadership for transitioning life in Dubai into a digital one.

Dr Mohammed Suhail Al Muhairi, CEO and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, highlighted the value of the cooperation between the Society and the Dubai Digital Authority. He said that the partnership promoted development and sustainability, supported the community, and served the public interest by consolidating smart services and enriching the digital services system. He highlighted that it enhanced the nature of charitable work by increasing flexibility to donors.

Dr Al Muhairi said that one of the most significant goals of the Udhiya Service on the DubaiNow application on smart phones and devices is to advance commitment to preventive measures to combat the spread of (COVID-19), in order to preserve public health and to protect the safety, prosperity and stability of society. He said that it promoted the gradual recovery of the UAE economy and its development and sustainability, within the framework of the efforts of the state and under the umbrella of the directives of our wise leadership.

He also added that there is a growing demand by people to perform the Udhiya, a translation of the teachings of Islam, while Dar Al Ber in particular is witnessing a very high demand by the public to perform Udhiya, which calls for new and advanced mechanisms in offering the service and ensuring the application of precautionary measures and quality.

Anyone wishing to perform their Udhiyah can download the DubaiNow application from Apple and Google Play stores. Users can then buy and distribute their Eid Sacrifice (Udhiyah) through the application in simple steps that are fast, smooth and reliable.

The DubaiNow app enables access to more than 130 services from over 30 government and private entities, with the services grouped into 12 categories: Bills, Mobile, Driving, Housing, Residency, Health, Education, Police, Travel, Islam, Donations and General.
