The Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC) in Dubai and the Mohammed Bin Rashid Housing Establishment (MBRHE) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen training, practical experience and career opportunities for Emirati talent in engineering and entrepreneurship.

The agreement was signed on the sidelines of EHRDC's participation in Ru'ya, Careers UAE 2026, held at Dubai World Trade Centre from September 28 to 30.

The partnership aims to connect Emirati professionals and graduates with specialised training and practical opportunities that can support their entry into the labour market and expand their access to career opportunities in the housing sector.

Partnership to create practical career pathways

Under the MoU, EHRDC and MBRHE will work together to attract and nominate qualified Emirati talent for initiatives, programmes, projects and activities implemented or supported by either organisation.

The two entities will also collaborate on the development and delivery of training and qualification programmes, including specialised training, practical experience and graduation projects.

The programmes are intended to bridge academic knowledge with real-world experience and give participants greater exposure to the housing sector and large-scale engineering projects.

Focus on engineering and entrepreneurship

Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai, said the partnership would help establish integrated pathways covering training, practical experience, employment and entrepreneurship.

He said connecting Emirati talent with national entities and institutions would help equip them with skills and experience aligned with changing labour market requirements.

Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi, Executive Director at MBRHE, said the partnership would focus on empowering Emirati talent in engineering and entrepreneurship through specialised training and practical experience.

He added that exposure to the housing sector and major engineering projects could help participants develop career opportunities and support the creation of sustainable entrepreneurial ventures.

Strengthening Dubai's Emirati talent ecosystem

The agreement expands EHRDC's network of strategic partners across the public and private sectors and national institutions.

Through partnerships of this nature, the council aims to create an integrated ecosystem for Emirati human capital development, providing greater access to career opportunities and connections with organisations operating across key economic sectors.

The collaboration also supports broader efforts to increase Emirati participation in the labour market and contribute to Dubai's economic and social development objectives.
