Modon Holding PSC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Abu Dhabi-based smart mobility company Q Mobility to explore integrated mobility services and parking management solutions across Modon’s communities and destinations.
The partnership aims to support more efficient asset management, improve traffic flow and access, and contribute to greater integration and sustainability across Modon’s developments.
The MoU was signed by Bill O’Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, and Mohamed Husain Karmastaji, CEO of Q Mobility, during the Liveability and Investment Exhibition (LIVEX) in Abu Dhabi on October 1.
Smart Mobility to Be Integrated Into Development Planning
Under the agreement, Modon and Q Mobility will explore opportunities to integrate mobility and parking solutions into developments from the early planning stages.
The collaboration will draw on Q Mobility’s experience in operating and managing public parking and road toll systems in the emirates, with the aim of improving service efficiency, movement and access to facilities.
The scope of the MoU extends to the UAE as well as other international markets where Modon operates, invests or develops assets.
Partnership Targets More Efficient Communities
By incorporating smart mobility and parking management into master plans from the outset, the partnership is intended to enhance the functionality and liveability of Modon’s communities.
The companies will also examine opportunities to create new service-led solutions across Modon’s portfolio while supporting asset performance and improving the experience of residents and visitors.
Bill O’Regan, Group CEO of Modon Holding, said seamless mobility was an important part of quality of life and that the partnership would bring Q Mobility’s experience in Abu Dhabi’s mobility infrastructure into the planning of future communities.
He added that integrating parking and mobility systems could help Modon’s destinations operate more efficiently as the company expands in Abu Dhabi and international markets.
Q Mobility to Apply Parking and Mobility Expertise
Mohamed Karmastaji, CEO of Q Mobility, said the MoU would support the company’s efforts to develop mobility services around the needs of communities and future cities.
He said Q Mobility would work with Modon to explore solutions that could improve service efficiency and the user experience through its expertise in parking management and mobility services.
Focus on Quality of Life and Urban Convenience
Ibrahim Al Maghribi, CEO of Modon Real Estate, said the partnership would allow Modon to incorporate specialist expertise in mobility and parking management into its developments from the beginning.
He added that efficient services and ease of movement would be important elements in creating communities and destinations focused on quality of life.
The partnership forms part of Modon’s broader approach to developing integrated communities that respond to changing expectations around mobility, convenience and sustainable urban living.
Further details on specific projects and initiatives under the cooperation will be announced as plans progress.
