Artificial intelligence is increasingly being applied across healthcare, from drug discovery and genomics to clinical documentation and patient care, with Ai Everything Abu Dhabi 2026 set to showcase some of the latest developments when the event takes place at ADNEC Centre from October 6 to 7.
The event will bring together global AI companies, healthcare innovators, investors and UAE-based technology developers to explore how AI is being integrated into healthcare systems and medical research.
According to the event organisers, Abu Dhabi's AI-powered Patient Safety System now connects 100 per cent of hospitals and serves more than 60,000 users. The emirate's Department of Health has also positioned Abu Dhabi as a testing environment for healthcare innovation, supported by integrated health infrastructure and population-scale genomics.
AI Moves Into Drug Discovery
More than 180 AI leaders are scheduled to participate in Ai Everything Abu Dhabi, including AI drug discovery specialist Dr Alex Aliper, Co-Founder and President of Insilico Medicine.
Aliper will participate in the The Machines Curing Us session, focusing on AI-designed medicines, genomics and machine-driven biotechnology.
Insilico Medicine's AI-discovered drug Rentosertib, being developed for idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, has entered Phase III clinical trials, according to the company.
Aliper said AI is changing the drug-discovery process by helping researchers identify potential targets, design molecules and produce preclinical candidates more rapidly.
The conference will also examine the development of autonomous AI systems for scientific research during a session titled Aila and the Rise of the AI Scientist.
Arabic-First AI Targets Healthcare Workflows
The exhibition floor will feature healthcare technologies designed for specific regional needs.
Abu Dhabi-based NABDH Technologies will showcase an Arabic-first Clinical Workflow Intelligence System that allows doctors and patients to communicate in Gulf Arabic before converting clinical encounters into structured English documentation.
The company says the system is designed to reduce administrative workloads and improve operational efficiency for healthcare providers. It is already being used in patient consultations in Dubai and is part of a Department of Health – Abu Dhabi validation programme.
NABDH founder and CEO Afra Alahbabi said the company is developing its technology specifically around the language, clinical and regulatory requirements of the region.
AI Models Designed for Limited Connectivity
Crane AI Labs will showcase an early-childhood AI assistant built on the K2 Horizon model developed by Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
The company is adapting the Abu Dhabi-developed open model for African languages and for use on devices where internet connectivity may be limited.
Crane said its clinical-support technology is already deployed across more than 15 public health facilities in East Africa, with more than 250 consented health workers using the technology.
The company is focusing on offline-first applications that can operate without continuous dependence on cloud connectivity.
Healthcare Data Becomes Key to AI Adoption
The event will also focus on the data infrastructure required to deploy AI across healthcare organisations.
Enterprise data company Snowflake will showcase its work with NMC Healthcare, which is centralising information across 70 facilities to support operational insights and patient care.
The focus reflects a broader challenge for healthcare providers: moving AI systems beyond experimentation while ensuring that the underlying data is governed, accessible and suitable for production use.
UAE-born health-tech company THABER will also demonstrate technology designed to combine recovery, training, nutrition, wearable and activity data to provide adaptive guidance on health and performance.
Investors Turn Attention to Health-Tech
Ai Everything Abu Dhabi is expected to bring together more than 150 startups and 200 investors managing around $100 billion in assets, with healthcare and life sciences among the sectors represented.
ExpertEase AI, which develops AI-powered digital employees, will showcase its technology being used by Australian healthcare provider TwinView Health.
The company said its system has reduced the time required to process nurses' shift reports by around 90 per cent, from approximately 30 minutes to one or two minutes per report.
ExpertEase AI is also expected to announce its first external seed funding round as it explores international expansion, including into the UAE and wider Middle East.
UAE Health-Tech Startup Seeks Pre-Seed Funding
UAE-based Digital Wellbeing will use the event to launch its first predictive AI model and announce a $500,000 pre-seed funding round.
The company is developing technology designed to analyse individual screen-use patterns and identify potential changes in mood associated with digital consumption.
Digital Wellbeing says users of its app have reported lower screen time and improvements in mood, although these figures are company-reported results.
Abu Dhabi Positions Healthcare as AI Testbed
Ai Everything Abu Dhabi will bring together more than 400 AI infrastructure builders, model developers, unicorns and startups from 60 countries, according to the organisers.
The event's healthcare programme reflects the wider expansion of AI from experimental applications into areas including medical research, clinical workflows, health data management and frontline support.
Organised by in5, with the Department of Government Enablement as Host Partner and Solutions+ as Global Partner, the event will also feature Abu Dhabi organisations including the Advanced Technology Research Council, First Abu Dhabi Bank and Hub71, alongside global technology companies such as AWS, Alibaba Cloud, Mistral AI and ASUS.
With AI investment and adoption expanding across healthcare, the two-day event will provide a platform for technology companies, healthcare institutions, investors and policymakers to examine how emerging systems can move from demonstrations and pilots into practical applications.
