Dubai International Chamber Showcases Expansion Opportunities for Local Businesses in Tanzania and Uganda
Dubai International Chamber, part of the Dubai Chambers group, hosted a successful 'In Focus' event to explore expansion opportunities for Dubai-based businesses in Tanzania and Uganda. The event, attended by over 100 private sector representatives, aimed to strengthen cross-border trade and investment ties with these promising East African markets.
Hassan Al Hashemi, Vice President of International Relations at Dubai Chambers, emphasized the chamber's commitment to supporting Dubai’s business community in global expansion efforts. “We are dedicated to providing opportunities for businesses to establish successful partnerships that drive sustainable growth. Today’s session highlights key insights into the economic landscapes of Tanzania and Uganda, equipping participants with valuable knowledge on expanding and investing in these markets,” said Al Hashemi.
The event featured presentations on Dubai International Chamber’s initiatives to support international business growth, followed by an interactive panel discussion on trade and investment opportunities in both countries. Participants gained insights into business regulations, market intelligence, and guidance for establishing joint ventures.
The 'In Focus' events are part of the chamber's ‘New Horizons’ initiative, which facilitates tailored trade missions to selected countries, allowing Dubai-based companies to explore new markets, attend industry events, and engage in pre-arranged business meetings. This initiative aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade.
