Dubai courts show two smart services at GITEX 2019

Dubai Courts showcases its latest two smart services in the current 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week, the largest technology exhibition in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia at the Dubai World Trade Center. The Smart ZAWAJ and Custody and Shared Seizing System services help to facilitate rapid litigation and improve the efficiency of the judicial system in accordance with Dubais rapid economic development needs. These two services are part of the courts' commitment to launch initiatives in support of the Dubai Paperless Strategy 2021.

H.E. Tarish Eid Al Mansoori, General Manager of Dubai Courts, said: GITEX is an important strategic platform to highlight the benefits of our smart services on a global platform to support the sustainable development of Dubai. The Smart ZAWAJ and Custody and Shared Seizing System services are a powerful trigger for the smart transformation efforts of Dubai courts to digitize traditional court practices. Our initiative is bundled with the Dubai Paperless Strategy, which aims to use modern technology to create a cohesive and paperless government system. The Strategy seeks to establish a smart government in Dubai to provide services to the public beyond their expectations. This is according to the order of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum,Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

H.E. Al Mansoori added: Both services are designed to improve the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of the judicial and legal systems. We want to make our systems smart, innovative and forward looking to be key pillars of our Court Strategy 2017-2021 to create better courts worldwide. The Smart ZAWAJ and Custody and Shared Seizing System is an important addition to our efforts to support national efforts to reduce the number of government auditors by 80 per cent by 2018. They enable our customers to transact with us remotely without needing to visit our offices. By doing so, we strive to bring them happiness, which is one of our top priorities. To further enhance the judicial system, we will continue on our smart transformation path by implementing technology-driven procedures and services in line with the goal of Dubai Project 2021 to create a smart, integrated and connected city with the world.

The first-of-its-kind Custody and Shared Seizing System, available in Arabic and English, enables customers to manage bookings, subscriptions and justice sales in a single, integrated platform, Consolidates funds, automates the process of seizure and sale of funds and proceeds to distribute the proceeds, aims to secure the rights of parties to joint funds, expedite the process and ensure the rights of all concerned individuals.

Dubai Court plans to introduce Smart ZAWAJ system by 2020. Under this system, a smart wedding contract can be provided electronically to avoid paperwork. They can also choose their preferred authorities from the innovative organizations list of 84 people who are allowed to host a wedding ceremony in Dubai.
