Dubai Chambers Signs MoU with VFS Global to Accelerate Global Expansion of Dubai-Based Companies

Dubai Chambers has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VFS Global, the world's largest visa outsourcing and technology services specialist, to support the global expansion of Dubai-based companies. This strategic agreement is part of the new ‘Global Partnership Programme,’ designed to facilitate smoother market entry and accelerate trade and investment opportunities for businesses in Dubai.

Under the terms of the agreement, VFS Global will leverage its extensive international network to provide strategic services to Dubai-based companies, including due diligence and partner evaluation services in global markets. This initiative aims to reduce market entry friction, expedite processes, simplify operations, reduce costs, and minimize risks for local businesses.

Strategic Goals and Benefits

His Excellency Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, emphasized the significance of this partnership in enhancing Dubai’s private sector competitiveness on a global scale. “Our cooperation with VFS Global will facilitate smoother entry into global markets, boosting the competitiveness of Dubai’s private sector. We remain committed to supporting the business community as we continue to consolidate Dubai’s position as an unrivaled global gateway for opportunities and growth,” said Lootah.

Zubin Karkaria, Founder and CEO of VFS Global, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the long-standing commitment to supporting Dubai’s development as a premier global business hub. “We are pleased to partner with Dubai Chambers to launch our 'TradeBridge Global' trade and investment services for Dubai-based organizations. This new partnership with Dubai Chambers is another step in our commitment to Dubai and the UAE,” Karkaria stated.

Global Partnership Programme

The ‘Global Partnership Programme’ launched by Dubai International Chamber, one of the three chambers operating under Dubai Chambers, aims to accelerate the chamber’s attraction and expansion efforts by collaborating with world-class service providers across eight trade categories. This initiative complements the Dubai Global Initiative, which seeks to attract foreign direct investment and support the international expansion of Dubai-based companies across 30 priority markets.

The agreement with VFS Global will support the Global Partnership Programme across the chamber’s 31 international representative offices worldwide. This growing network is pivotal in achieving the ambitions outlined in the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33), which aims to double the size of the emirate’s economy over the next decade and secure Dubai’s position among the top three global cities.

Conclusion

The MoU between Dubai Chambers and VFS Global marks a significant step towards enhancing Dubai's position as a global business hub. By facilitating international expansion and reducing market entry barriers, this partnership will significantly contribute to the emirate's economic growth and global competitiveness.
