du Pay expands partnership with talabat to manage digital payments for UAE fleet partners
du Pay, the digital financial services arm of du, has expanded its partnership with talabat to become the digital wallet and payment platform for the food delivery and everyday needs app’s fleet partners in the UAE.
The expanded agreement aims to simplify payment management for fleet partners while giving riders a single digital wallet to receive, manage and spend their money. It follows the adoption of du Pay among riders working through talabat’s fleet partners.
A signing ceremony was held at talabat’s office, attended by Roberto Mancone, CEO of du Pay, and Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat UAE.
Single digital wallet for riders
Under the expanded partnership, du Pay will provide a centralised digital payment solution for talabat’s fleet partners, reducing the need to manage payments through multiple providers.
The arrangement is designed to streamline payment processes for fleet partners and make it easier for riders to access their earnings and financial services through one platform.
The du Pay wallet includes an International Bank Account Number (IBAN) and a free digital debit card offering cashback on spending. Riders can also access cash loans, send money to their home countries, pay bills and recharge their mobile balances.
The wallet also offers an additional 50% balance on du prepaid recharges, according to the company. Riders can use the du Pay debit card for everyday purchases.
du Pay and talabat highlight rider convenience
Roberto Mancone, CEO of du Pay, said the company’s reach among thousands of riders each month reflects the development of its partnership with talabat.
He said the expanded agreement recognises the reliability of the service and creates an opportunity to simplify how riders receive and manage their money. Mancone added that du Pay aims to support businesses in managing payments across large and diverse workforces more efficiently.
Simonida Subotic, Vice President and Managing Director of talabat UAE, said riders are central to the company’s operations and that the partnership is intended to make their everyday experience more convenient.
She said riders have been able to receive monthly payments digitally from their employers through talabat’s fleet partners. The expanded collaboration provides fleet partners with a more streamlined way to manage these payments while giving riders access to financial services through a single wallet.
du Pay expands digital financial services
du Pay said it has more than one million registered customers using its digital financial services.
The expanded partnership with talabat highlights the platform’s role in supporting businesses that manage payments across distributed workforces. The model provides employers with a central digital payment channel while giving employees direct access to their earnings and related financial services.
For talabat’s fleet partners in the UAE, the arrangement brings payment management and riders’ access to digital financial tools into a single platform.
