DEWA Cooperates With lectricit de France in Renewable Energy Research, Energy Storage, and Electric-Vehicle Chargers

Abu Dhabi, UAE, 17 January, 2017: Dubai Electrical power and Water Authority (DEWA) has authorized a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the French electrical energy company (lectricit de France) to boost further cooperation and help with trading of competence in areas of shared interest. The MoU with lectricit de France (EDF) sustains DEWA's initiatives to build calculated partnerships that utilize regional and worldwide capabilities to own lasting development, take on environment change, and boost power efficiency. The MoU was signed at DEWA's stand at the World Future Power Summit 2017 (WFES).

The MoU was authorized by HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & Chief Executive Officer of DEWA, and Antoine Cahuzac, Senior Executive Vice President of Renewable Energies at EDF, and was experienced by HE Michel Miraillet, Ambassador of France to the UAE.

Inning accordance with the MoU, DEWA and EDF will certainly interact in R & d (R&D) in energy system integration, power storage space, renewable resource, dispersed power resources, demand reaction, power resilience, calamity recuperation, electric vehicle billing terminals, and lab facilities development.

"At DEWA, we work to attain the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to achieve the sustainable development of Dubai, while securing natural deposits to make certain a brighter future for generations to come.
