Chinese Businesses Hail Dubai as Key Global Expansion Hub
Chinese business leaders are increasingly viewing Dubai as an essential gateway for global expansion, citing the emirate's strategic location, favorable business environment, and supportive policies as critical factors. Senior officials from leading Chinese companies emphasized Dubai's role as a hub for opportunities in both regional and international markets, bolstered by the support of Dubai International Chamber.
Gavil Fang, CEO of Meorient, the first exhibition company listed on China's stock exchange and host of the annual China Homelife Dubai Exhibition, praised Dubai as the "exhibition capital of the Middle East and key markets in Asia and Africa." He highlighted the emirate's strategic position, which offers Chinese businesses unparalleled access to global markets.
Alex Yang, Co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Tuya Smart, a global cloud platform provider, noted Dubai's inclusive and synergistic industry ecosystem. He emphasized that the Smart Living and ESG principles in Dubai's Economic Agenda (D33) align well with Tuya's values, reinforcing their commitment to collaborating with Dubai to advance the Artificial Intelligence (AI) sector.
Dr. Jusong Xia, President of International Business at United Imaging Healthcare, cited Dubai's efficient registration processes and supportive policies as pivotal in their decision to establish regional headquarters in the emirate. He emphasized the importance of the relationships formed in Dubai in facilitating their expansion efforts.
These insights come ahead of the Dubai Business Forum – China, set to take place from August 21 to 22. The event, organized by Dubai Chambers, aims to showcase Dubai's diverse investment opportunities and attract multinational companies, unicorns, and startups from China. The forum will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and exploring opportunities in sectors such as green technology, e-commerce, AI, healthcare, and renewable energy.
