Changan Automobile showcased its latest new energy and automotive lineup at the 41st Luanda International Fair (FILDA 2026), reinforcing its long-term commitment to the Angolan market and broader expansion across Africa.
Held from July 21 to 26 in Luanda, FILDA is one of Angola's largest international business events. Changan used the platform to present a significantly expanded exhibition alongside its local dealers and partners, highlighting its products, technologies and wider globalization strategy.
DEEPAL and CHANGAN Models Take Centre Stage
Changan's exhibition featured four key models: the DEEPAL S05, DEEPAL G318, CHANGAN CS75 PLUS and New CHANGAN UNI-S.
The vehicles showcased the company's focus on intelligent mobility, dynamic design and advanced automotive technologies. The lineup attracted strong interest from visitors and prospective business partners, providing an opportunity for customers to experience Changan's latest products firsthand.
The company's participation also demonstrated its efforts to strengthen its presence in Angola while establishing deeper relationships with local partners and stakeholders.
Expanding Changan's Global Footprint
Changan's presence at FILDA comes as the company accelerates its global expansion strategy. Since launching its Vast Ocean Plan in 2023, the automaker has focused on long-term development, localization and systematic expansion.
The strategy represents a shift from conventional vehicle exports towards a broader model of industrial globalization, involving greater cooperation with partners across the international supply chain.
Changan currently operates across 118 countries and regions, supported by 22 manufacturing bases and a global sales and service network. Its research and development operations include approximately 24,000 employees across six countries and 10 locations, working through a continuous global collaboration model.
Africa Emerges as a Strategic Growth Market
The Middle East and Africa region is one of Changan's five core regional markets, alongside Europe, Eurasia, Southeast Asia and Latin America.
Across Africa, the company is working to develop an integrated ecosystem covering vehicle sales, after-sales services, spare parts and customer support.
Changan's strategy places particular emphasis on ensuring reliable after-sales infrastructure as its presence in the region grows. The company has highlighted the importance of combining vehicle sales with access to spare parts and dependable customer service to support sustainable long-term growth.
Supporting Africa's Mobility Transformation
Changan said its expanding presence in Africa is aimed at supporting the continent's modernization and mobility needs while creating opportunities for customers, business partners and local economies.
The company's participation at FILDA 2026 therefore represents more than a product showcase. It reflects Changan's broader ambition to build a localized and sustainable automotive ecosystem across African markets and strengthen its position in the region's evolving mobility landscape.
