Central Shopping Centers Unveils 'The World’s Great Celebration 2025' to Boost Thailand’s Tourism and Economy
Central Pattana plc, Thailand’s leading real estate developer and operator of Central shopping centers, has launched an exciting initiative to stimulate purchasing power and boost the Thai economy in the final quarter of 2024. In collaboration with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), the Embassy of Finland, Sculptra by Galderma, Finnair, and other key partners, Central Pattana is investing 700 million baht into the 'The World’s Great Celebration 2025' campaign.
This groundbreaking campaign will transform Central shopping malls across Thailand into a Santa Village Themed Park Experience, a first for the country. The campaign is set to run from November 1, 2024, to January 5, 2025, and aims to attract both local and international tourists by offering an unforgettable festive experience.
Highlights of The World’s Great Celebration 2025:

Santa Village Themed Park Experience: For the first time in Thailand, visitors can meet Santa Claus, who will serve as the cultural ambassador for Christmas celebrations, directly flown in from Finland. The main attraction will be at Central World Bangkok, featuring The First Art Toy Xmas Decoration in the World.

Art Toy Christmas Decorations: The shopping centers will host an extraordinary display of 23 art toy characters created by 11 renowned artists, including LABUBU, ZIMOMO, FLAPPY, and VINCENT, each up to 4 meters tall. The displays will feature 12 immersive zones in the ‘Merry Ville’ Christmas village, covering 3,500 m². Additionally, secret art toys by Jessica Ng and Abigail will make their debut at the lighting ceremony of Southeast Asia’s tallest Christmas tree.

Nationwide Christmas Kingdoms: Santa will visit multiple locations across Thailand, offering exclusive meet-and-greet sessions, photo opportunities, and even a lucky draw for a dream trip with Finnair. Visitors will also be introduced to new Santa & Friends characters, including DEERZING, ELFZA, GINGERBOY, COOLSNOW, and CHRISTREENA, illustrated by Thai artist Sandier.

Local Pride Christmas Trees: In collaboration with TAT, the campaign will showcase 11 local pride Christmas trees designed to reflect Thailand’s regional identities. Some of the standout trees include the Mok Panwa Christmas Tree at Central Chiang Rai (Lanna culture-inspired) and the Kebaya Christmas Tree at Central Phuket (highlighting Phuket’s cultural heritage).
A Nationwide Collaboration for Tourism Growth
Dr. Nattakit Tangpoonsinthana, Chief Marketing Officer of Central Pattana, expressed pride in Central Pattana's role in elevating Thailand as a world-class tourist destination. “We are creating experiences that will draw both Thai and international tourists, especially to our 15 tourist malls,” he said. He further emphasized the company’s collaboration with global travel platforms, including KLOOK, to expand the tourism hub from Central World to Central Pattaya and Central Chiangmai.
The campaign is a major collaboration, supported by a range of corporate partners, including SuperSports, Big Camera, Jubilee Diamond, Coca-Cola Thailand, Samsung, and many more.

In addition to the festivities, international tourists can present their passport at the redemption counter to receive a Welcome Package valued up to THB 10,000 and a Good Goods Heart Handbag with a minimum spend.
