Bridgestone Fosters Startup Innovations through Moonshot Challenge at Expand North Star 2024
Bridgestone, a global leader in tyres and sustainable mobility solutions, hosted the Bridgestone Moonshot Challenge at Expand North Star 2024, the world’s largest event for startups and investors. This challenge brought together visionary startups aiming to revolutionize the future of mobility through cutting-edge innovations.
Focusing on critical segments such as Fleet Management, Truck Technology, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), Intelligent Transportation Solutions, and Connected Mobility, Bridgestone’s challenge offered a platform for startups to present state-of-the-art concepts that could reshape the mobility sector.
Bridgestone’s participation in the event highlighted its commitment to driving sustainable innovation and fostering partnerships that contribute to the future of transportation. This aligns with the company’s E8 Commitment, which aims to ensure a more sustainable world for future generations.

The challenge’s winner, Chargel, was awarded $50,000 for its innovative truck transport platform designed to optimize logistics in Francophone West Africa. Chargel will also collaborate with Bridgestone to further refine its solutions with market insights and strategic guidance.
Other standout startups included Kuality AI, truQ, BaseTracK, and FleetFox, which impressed the judges with their innovative contributions to logistics and AI, showcasing immense potential for future growth.
Expand North Star 2024 emphasized the importance of fostering innovation and collaboration between industry leaders and startups to overcome future mobility challenges and develop one-of-a-kind solutions for the sector.
