Fourth international Corporate Day of Boursa Kuwait was hosted at Dubai’s Financial District in collaboration with globally renowned investment firm Morgan Stanley, on November 7. In this event ten listed Kuwaiti companies brought together with over 20 of the world’s leading investment firms. Boursa Kuwait also highlighted recent milestones in the development of the Kuwaiti capital market.
The listed Kuwaiti companies came from several sectors, including telecom, banking, industrials and consumer goods, financial services, holding over 150 meetings with institutional investors and asset management firms including mutual funds, commercial banks, pension funds, insurance firms and hedge funds, . This offer deeper insights into the business strategy, financial performance and outlook of the publically traded companies, in-depth understanding of the benefits and opportunities of investing in the Kuwaiti companies was gained by one-on-one and group meetings enabled with the international investors.
In separate discussions, Boursa Kuwait also spoke about its recent achievements in developing a more transparent, liquid and easy to access capital market, and also highlighted Kuwait’s recent upgrades in some of the world’s leading indices. Recently advanced frontier status of the Kuwaiti capital market to an Emerging Market by both FTSE Russell and S&P Dow Jones, along with a conditional approval on its inclusion in the MSCI Emerging Markets Index.
