BlueFive Capital Launches $2 Billion GCC-Focused Private Equity Fund from Abu Dhabi

BlueFive Capital, a prominent global investment firm, has announced the successful close of its inaugural GCC-dedicated private equity vehicle—BlueFive Reef Private Equity Fund I—with committed capital totaling $2 billion. Registered with the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), the fund is positioned to make strategic investments in large-cap private equity opportunities across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.

Managed from Abu Dhabi, the fund will focus on both majority and minority investments in established high-growth companies and conglomerates. Investment activity will span five core sectors: Healthcare, Technology, Hospitality, Aviation, and Industrial. According to the firm, the fund aims to leverage the region’s accelerating economic development and strategic position as a commercial and geopolitical bridge between the East and West.

“This $2 billion private equity fund marks a significant milestone not only for BlueFive Capital but for the broader investment landscape in the GCC,” said Hazem Ben-Gacem, Founder and CEO of BlueFive Capital. “We’re excited to support visionary founders and dynamic management teams in transforming local champions into global leaders originating from the GCC.”

Expanding Private Equity Influence in the Region

The new fund underscores BlueFive Capital’s commitment to deepening its investment footprint in the region. The firm is rapidly emerging as one of the GCC’s fastest-growing global asset managers, with a team of 27 investment professionals operating across international hubs including London, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain, and Beijing.
