Avaya Named Networking Vendor of the Year
Continuing its winning streak and industry recognition, Avaya has been recognized as the Networking Vendor of the Year by ITPs Network Middle East magazine. This award followed deliberation by an expert jury that included analysts from Gartner, IDC and Frost & Sullivan, who evaluated vendors based on technology innovation, business success, and customer and partner delight. This is the second regional accolade for Avaya this year, following the Network World Middle East Networking Vendor of the Year award received in April 2015.
The Network ME award recognized Avayas innovation in addressing market trends and demands, particularly through the launch of its SDN-Fx fabric networking architecture. Avayas SDN-Fx architecture is the first to deliver automation and programmability for connect anything, anywhere simplicity.
Network ME also recognized Avayas contribution towards the digital transformation of two iconic customers. Avayas work with the Dubai World Trade Centre won the Fixed Network Implementation of the Year award, and work with the Electronic Government Authority of Ras Al Khaimah won the Unified Communication Implementation of the Year award.
Avaya customers who were shortlisted for awards included Kempinski MoE for Fixed Network Implementation, Sheraton Doha for their Wireless Network Implementation. A brand new category for the 11th annual Network ME awards saw two out of three finalists from Avaya customers: Mr. Abdulelah AlMeyman, CIO and vice president of Information Technology for the Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Medical Group in Saudi Arabia, and Mr. Robin Kurian, director of Information Technology at the Sheraton Doha Resort and Convention Hotel in Qatar
