Her Excellency emphasized, "As part of its National Food Security Strategy, the UAE is committed to enabling all citizens and residents of the UAE to have access to healthy, safe, nutritious, and sufficient food at reasonable prices under all circumstances. This dedication underscores the country's resolve to uphold the highest food safety standards across the entire food supply chain. The UAE already boasts an integrated food control system in collaboration with relevant stakeholders."

This year’s World Food Safety Day, themed 'Food Safety: Prepare for the Unexpected,' saw Her Excellency spotlight the UAE’s comprehensive regulatory framework ensuring food safety from importation or local production through to consumer delivery. She reiterated the Ministry's collaboration with strategic partners to enhance control procedures, enforce food safety, and ensure food health systems meet top international standards. This collaborative effort positively impacts various economic sectors and improves community quality of life.

In her concluding remarks, Her Excellency stressed the critical role of community awareness in enhancing food safety. She urged individuals to be informed about proper food storage, cooking, and consumption practices to protect their health and promote well-being. This awareness is essential for accessing nutritionally rich food and ensuring a better quality of life for both current and future generations.
