Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children is preparing to launch the spring camp "Athar"

The registration for the yearly spring camp of "Al Jalila Cultural Centre for Children" (AJCCC) is now open. Titled, "Athar" the camp is planned to run from March 28 until April 7 of 2016, from 10am up until 2 in the afternoon. Kids in the age of 4 and sixteen years are qualified to sign up for the popular camp that is well known for its creative and knowing activities during the spring break.

This year AJCCC is preparing to focus on a list of finding out activities that are centered on the significance of desert lifestyle in sharing our heritage. Participating children will learn how to appreciate the many elements of the desert life, its appeal, the rich custom of Arabian horses, the authentic Arabian hospitality, art and sports distinct to the desert. The camp will intend to educate children about the rich heritage of the UAE and the region, and introduce traditional styles of art, sport and cultural activities within the schedule of the Spring Camp.

Several organisations have already stepped forward to team up with AJCCC in providing the cultural styles of the Spring Camp, for instance, the Civil Defense Department and Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. In partnership with Dubai Health Authority, among the camp activities will be themed around the World Health Day while Dubai Sports Council will help kids celebrate the World Day for Physical Activity under the slogan "Active Child, Healthy Adult.".

The "Athar" Spring Camp is part of the yearly series of occasions organized by AJCCC to motivate children and engage them with finding out activities that establish their understanding of Emirati culture and heritage. Activities are created to support imagination and ingenious mindset while connecting with inspirations from previous and present.
