Ajman University Partners with Project Management Institute to Boost Project Management Education

In a significant step towards advancing project management education and professional development, Ajman University (AU) and the Project Management Institute (PMI) have signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This partnership aims to foster innovation, strengthen career readiness, and promote global best practices across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

The MoU was signed by Dr. Karim Seghir, Chancellor of Ajman University, and Mr. Hanny Alshazly, Managing Director, MENA, at PMI. It outlines a framework for joint initiatives that will enhance project management capabilities among students, faculty, and professionals through a tailored digital platform powered by PMI. This platform will offer exclusive access to PMI’s internationally recognized certifications, experiential learning programs, and a global network of industry experts.

Dr. Karim Seghir stated:

“This partnership supports our mission of academic excellence and lifelong learning by equipping students with up-to-date project management skills, making them workforce-ready in a digital and project-driven world.”

Key initiatives under the partnership include co-developing case studies, collaborative research, access to PMI’s educational tools, and participation in regional and international events. The goal is to build a future-ready talent pool and bridge the gap between academia and industry.

Mr. Hanny Alshazly added:

“This collaboration with Ajman University, a leader in innovation and graduate employability, reflects PMI’s dedication to developing project talent across the region. Together, we aim to empower the next generation of professionals to lead impactful change.”

This MoU not only marks PMI’s first academic partnership in the Emirate of Ajman but also signals a broader commitment to supporting digital transformation and strategic workforce development in the region.
