Ajman Tourism Unveils Two Emirati-Crafted Experiences to Elevate Local Tourism

The Ajman Department of Tourism Development has announced the launch of two distinctive Emirati-crafted tourism experiences under its “Tourism Experiences Training Program.” The initiative seeks to enrich Ajman’s tourism offerings while fostering the talents of Emirati innovators, aligning with the Emirate's sustainable development goals and ambitions for digital and economic progress.

The selected experiences, designed by Emirati talents Abdullah Al Ali and Mariam Al Hamrani, aim to spotlight Masfout's hidden treasures. These initiatives empower local communities, showcase Ajman's unique tourist attractions, and strengthen its contribution to the UAE's national tourism sector. The offerings emphasize cultural exploration, personal growth, and community engagement, positioning Ajman as a pivotal hub in the regional tourism landscape.

Leadership Perspective on Youth Empowerment in Tourism
Commenting on the program, His Excellency Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director General of the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized its role in empowering youth and fostering innovation. “Through training programs and tourism initiatives, we aim to motivate young Emiratis, enhance their participation in the tourism sector, and harness their talents to create innovative opportunities. This program embodies our commitment to a dynamic, creative, and passionate future for Ajman’s tourism industry,” Alhashmi stated.

Cultural and Environmental Sustainability
Khadija Mohammed Turki, Tourism Marketing and Promotion Expert at the department, highlighted the program's focus on sustainable tourism and cultural preservation. “These experiences incorporate environmentally friendly green initiatives while preserving Ajman’s historical and traditional heritage. The program inspires community contributions to the tourism sector’s growth, ensuring sustainable development and cultural empowerment,” Turki added.

Immersive Experiences in Masfout
The new offerings include a two-day excursion to Masfout, featuring an array of activities such as hiking, meditation sessions, and visits to local museums and farms. Tourists will explore ancient water channels (Aflaaj) and immerse themselves in authentic cultural experiences, including spending a day as guests with local families.

The Ajman Department of Tourism Development continues to bolster the Emirate’s tourism potential through diverse activities, events, and training initiatives. These efforts aim to establish Ajman as a premier global tourism destination while fostering innovation and cultural appreciation within the local and international tourism sectors.
