1,200 Athletes Set to Compete in Inaugural Apex Games at Dubai World Trade Centre
More than 1,200 athletes are set to participate in the inaugural edition of Apex Games, a new UAE-born hybrid fitness competition that will take place at Dubai World Trade Centre on June 6, 2026.
Organised by CAP Sports and DXB LIVE, the event has announced a strategic partnership with Technogym, which joins as the Official Technical and Performance Partner ahead of the highly anticipated launch.
Technogym Named Official Performance Partner
As part of the partnership, Technogym will supply all competition equipment and support athlete performance throughout the event, helping deliver a world-class competition experience for participants from across the UAE and the wider region.
The collaboration reflects Apex Games' ambition to establish itself as a premier fitness competition that combines elite athletic performance with broad community participation.
Hybrid Fitness Competition Gains Strong Momentum
Designed to test a wide range of athletic abilities, Apex Games combines running with functional fitness challenges in a race format that evaluates endurance, strength, speed, and overall fitness.
The competition features four running stages, each followed by a series of functional fitness stations. Athletes can compete in individual, doubles, or team categories, making the event accessible to both elite competitors and fitness enthusiasts.
Interest in the event has continued to grow through community engagement initiatives, including Apex Fitness Test (AFT) gym activities and fitness-focused events held across Dubai.
Organisers confirmed that the professional and solo divisions have already sold out, with total registrations exceeding 1,200 participants nearly two weeks before race day.
Regional Expansion Already Planned
Building on the strong response to its debut event, organisers have already begun planning the second season of Apex Games, which is expected to feature four additional events across the region.
The expansion forms part of a long-term strategy to establish Apex Games as a leading fitness competition brand originating from the UAE and serving athletes throughout the Middle East.
