10th Annual World FZO Congress to Host Global Leaders and Industry Experts

The World Free Zones Organization (World FZO) is set to hold its 10th Annual World Congress from 23-25 September 2024 at the Madinat Jumeirah Conference and Events Centre in Dubai. The event, held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will feature a world-class lineup of speakers and global industry leaders.

The Congress will kick off with 'The Ministerial Meeting,' bringing together key figures such as His Excellency Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade, His Excellency Dr. Mohammed Al Zarooni, Chairman of the World FZO, and His Excellency Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

On the second day, the official opening ceremony will include keynote addresses by His Excellency Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, UAE Minister of Economy; Gerhard Schröder, former Chancellor of Germany; Jim Snabe, Chairman of Siemens; and John Defterios, former CNN Emerging Markets Editor, among others.

Key sessions throughout the congress will cover vital topics shaping the future of global trade, industry, and finance. Discussions will include 'The Future of Logistics,' with Radu Dinescu, President of the International Road Transport Union (IRU), and Dr. Holger Bingmann, Vice President of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), as well as 'The Future of Access to Finance,' featuring Santiago Rojas Arroyo, Regional Director at the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and Professor Chi Fulin, Director of the China-Arab Studies Center.

Further panels will delve into 'The Future of Energy,' with speakers like Joseph McMonigle, Secretary General of the International Energy Forum (IEF), and Eng. Nawal Yousif Alhanaee, Director of the Future Energy Department at the UAE Ministry of Energy. 'The Future of Manufacturing' will feature His Excellency Manuel Tovar Rivera, Minister of Foreign Trade of Costa Rica, and 'The Future of Digital' will include industry leaders such as Dr. Jean-Michel Mrusek, former CEO of Siemens Digital Factory.

The event aims to foster dialogue and collaboration among global stakeholders in free zones, offering insights into the transformative trends shaping industries worldwide.
