UAE Opens New Border Crossing to Oman for Enhanced Connectivity

The United Arab Emirates has officially commenced operations at the Wam border crossing in Dibba Al Fujairah, strengthening connectivity with Oman and facilitating smoother travel between the two nations. The new crossing, which opened on Wednesday, February 26, is expected to ease movement for travelers, residents, and businesses while bolstering trade relations.

Key Features of the Dibba Al Fujairah Border Post

Spanning an area of 1 million square meters, the new Dibba Al Fujairah border post comprises 19 buildings, designed to efficiently manage the movement of passengers and goods.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, Director General of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security, emphasized that the border post aims to enhance ease of travel and streamline cross-border trade between the UAE and Oman.

Omani Authorities Announce Dibba Border Crossing in Musandam

Simultaneously, Omani authorities have confirmed the opening of the Dibba Border Crossing in Musandam, aligning with broader initiatives for enhanced border security management across land borders, airports, and seaports. The move ensures more efficient border control while promoting greater travel convenience between the two neighboring countries.

Travel Guidelines and Entry Requirements

Authorities have advised travelers to comply with all required travel procedures and carry necessary documentation when using the newly operational border crossing.
