A new era of architectural ambition is reshaping skylines across the globe, with the Middle East emerging as a dominant force in the race for the skies. From the sands of Saudi Arabia to the heart of Dubai, super-tall towers are pushing boundaries in design, height, and urban innovation.
1. Jeddah Tower, Saudi Arabia
At over 1,000 metres, Jeddah Tower is poised to be the world’s tallest structure, featuring more than 167 floors. Designed by Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, the tower symbolizes Saudi Arabia's future-forward vision.
2. Burj Azizi, Dubai, UAE
Set to rise to 725 metres, this 131-storey skyscraper will become Dubai’s second-tallest structure after the Burj Khalifa. Construction resumed in 2025, with a projected completion in 2028.
3. Goldin Finance 117, Tianjin, China
Dubbed “China’s tallest abandoned skyscraper,” this 597-metre tower has resumed construction after a decade-long hiatus, targeting a 2027 completion.
4. Burj Binghatti Jacob & Co Residences, Dubai, UAE
At 595 metres, this luxury residential tower is set to be the world’s tallest of its kind. A joint project between Binghatti Developers and Jacob & Co, it is expected to be completed by 2027.
5. Senna Tower, Brazil
Inspired by racing legend Ayrton Senna, this 544-metre skyscraper in Balneario Camboriu aims for completion by 2030. It will be Brazil’s tallest residential structure.
6. Tiger Sky Tower, Dubai, UAE
With a height of 532 metres, the tower will host record-setting amenities, including the world’s highest infinity pool and restaurant. Completion is projected between 2028 and 2029.
7. Six Senses Residences Dubai Marina, UAE
Reviving the long-delayed ‘Pentominium’ project, this 517-metre tower will feature 122 floors and 251 residences, with completion slated for 2028.
8. The Line, Saudi Arabia
An urban megastructure like no other, The Line is a 170-km linear city rising 500 metres in height. This futuristic city-within-a-building is set for partial completion by 2030.
9. HeXi Yuzui Tower A, Nanjing, China
Also known as RunMao Tower, this 498.8-metre project will become a landmark in Nanjing’s financial district. Completion is expected in 2028.
10. Panda Tower (Tianfu Center), Chengdu, China
At 489 metres, the Chengdu-based tower embraces sustainable design and regional inspiration, with completion set for 2027.
